Odessos Urban Winery, Claret 2023

Odessos Urban Winery was founded in 2016 by brothers, Georgi and Vladislav Vankovi. After travelling the world and working in some of the best vineyards in New Zealand, Australia and Chile, the brothers began making wine in their native Bulgaria, with the goal of shining a light on the Black Sea Coast region. Claret 2023 is made from 100% Cabernet Franc and is based on a style of wine called "clairet", which originates in Bordeaux and sits somewhere between a red and a rosé. Intensely fruity, expressive and vibrant; it bursts with notes of redcurrant, raspberry and Cab Franc's signature bell pepper herbaceousness. This is one of our favourite reds to chill and pairs really well with pork or poultry.
